George J. McMahon, S.J. Travel Fellowship Event

On March 8, The Fordham College Alumni Association was invited to join the Fordham Club in the Special Collections of the Walsh Library. At this event, the board and Fordham Club members had the chance to mingle while celebrating the recipients of the McMahon Travel fellowship. After learning about McMahon's legacy and watching a film created for the FCAA's centennial, the group had the opportunity to hear from the 2010 recipient. [Name and more info] For more information about the George J. McMahon, S.J. Travel Fellowship, please visit our post here. Special thanks to Norma Vavolizza for the following photos.

The McMahon Travel Fellowship competition is open only to Fordham College students who are members of the Fordham Club, United Student Government, the University Band, or the University’s intercollegiate sports teams. The 2011 recipient has recently been announced. Helena Guzik, an Art History major in the honors program, will travel to Italy to study Renaissance painting.
